Internet users of any age can provide their personal information by accident or be tricked into providing it. That information can be used by others to commit identity theft or perpetrate financial scams. It can also lead to communication between youngsters and adults who want to exploit them.

 
Learning about how predators operate and using extra care in sharing information can help protect you. When it doesn’t, our computer investigators can track down offenders.
 
The Attorney General's staff and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force members can provide Internet education and safety programs for North Carolina's parents, educators and law officers.
