State Bureau of Investigation

Within the Department of Justice, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) assists local law enforcement agencies in identifying criminals, analyzing evidence, and preparing evidence for use in court. The SBI conducts investigations into allegations of criminal activity when requested to do so by the Attorney General, the Governor, sheriffs, police chiefs, district attorneys or judges.
