Victims & Citizens Services
The Victims and Citizens Services Section of the Attorney General's Office works to protect the rights of victims and to educate citizens about the Justice System. Victims and Citizens Services also helps develop policy and legislation, provides crime prevention programs, connects citizens with community resources, and works with other agencies to coordinate Department of Justice services for citizens.
Areas of expertise include: child abuse; domestic violence; elder abuse;
hate crimes; victims' rights; open government and legal information resources.
Programs housed within Victims and Citizens Services include the Child Victim
Assistance Program and the Child Identification Kit Program.
